Escape to nature at Oreiades Houses, a boutique guesthouse retreat in the mountains above Lake Plastiras. Our traditional stone houses offer breathtaking views, fireplaces and warm hospitality — perfect for couples, families, or anyone seeking peace, comfort and a real connection with the Greek countryside.
Each house is built in the local Agrafa style: stone walls, timber roofs and cosy bedrooms under wooden beams. You'll find a fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi and a fireplace for the winter months, while our café-bar is the natural place to end a day by the lake.
We are in Krioneri (Koutsodimos), above the western shore of Lake Plastiras in Thessaly — 25 km from Karditsa and about 3.5 hours from Athens. From here you can hike the Agrafa trails, cycle around the lake, try archery, canoeing or horse riding, or wander the stone villages of Neochori, Pezoula and Fylakti.
Snow-covered winters, spring wildflowers, cool green summers and the colours of autumn — Lake Plastiras has four true seasons, and each one is worth the trip.
